midi2fnf's Issues

Bunch of bugs.

Don't know if I'm the only one with these issues but it doesn't work correctly for me. It gets stuck in the first section, it still randomizes the notes even if I put them down how you did when it shouldn't go random. If I look in debug mode most notes are out of the cubes but in the back of it in the black background. Don't know if I'm screwing something up. Been trying to fix it for an hour with no luck.

Midi notes aren't showing up

After i make the chart with the midi file of a song i made myself, the notes won't show ingame.

here's the midi that i used:

No rhyme or reason to how notes are converted

I just tried converting a chart that I wrote as a MIDI into an FNF chart, and it's a very convenient option because FNF's built-in chart editor is very poorly designed. The only problem is, I wrote the MIDI specifically to coincide with the FNF arrows, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to how notes are converted at all.

According to the tutorial on this script, C, C#, D, and D# coincide with left, down, up, and right, respectively. However, in practice this is not actually the case. Very often two different notes are charted as the same arrow, or two of the same notes are charted as different arrows.

More than that, every single note is on Boyfriend's side, even though I separated the notes into different octaves like the tutorial said to do.

Failed to execute script Midi2FNF

it refuses to do anything even if i run it as administrator, i have a feeling it might be because everything (browser, computer etc.) recognizes it as a harmful program (a.k.a a virus)

All notes go on only boyfriend even though they're on seperate channels

Hi, sorry to bother by posting this. I've been trying to get my midi to work on kade engine, but all the notes just end up on Bf's end. I'm using multitrackstudio, and have tried both merging the tracks, and leaving them seperate. I don't know if it's my program, or if the notes need to be in a specific spot. It might be the program, but cakewalk didn't seem to work either as it was also all just on boyfriends end. Again, sorry to bother, but I just wanted to see if anyone knows of this issue and a solution. If there is a different free program that works when exporting midis, please let me know.

Midi2FNF incorrectly placing notes

Hello! When trying to import my midi file into FNF, i noticed that the note timings are all off just a little bit- FL studio views a full segment as 1.84 seconds, while FNF views it as 2-- and for whatever reason, Midi2FNF isn't interpreting my notes correctly- making them occur later than they're actually supposed to. I've included the midi file itself here, you can see for yourself by using Midi2FNF to get a json chart data file. Just put it over Fresh, and sure enough, the notes won't be on time with the music and the actual midi data.
(Also I'm aware that not all the notes are set to the correct channels for 1 and 2, but that's not my issue here- the incorrect timing of notes is.)
fresh.zip

Failed to execute script.

'Nuff said. I tried making a chart at first, but it just doesn't play. Here's the .MIDI file in question. notes.zip
The chart wouldn't play. I tried again and now it just says that it failed to execute the script.

no notes at all.

for some reason when i convert midis i make, it dosent generate notes for the json, leaving it blank, how do i fix this, i tried increasing the key the notes come in, i've tried many programs from fl studio to bosca ceoil to even dominos midi editor, and nothing worked.

File not coming out as ".json"

When I transalated the MIDI into a Song chart, it always appears as a "File" instead of a ".json". It doesn't seem to be a normal file though, as it opens with notepad. Inside the file looks like a normal .json, but every time I launch the song in Friday Night Funkin', it just crashes, and I presume this to be why.

Psych Engine support

Please consider adding Psych Engine support, as I and many others prefer to use that engine.

Held notes

I don't know if this is feasible, but would adding held notes be at all possible? Would make mapping a whole lot easier since the in game mapper is less than optimal.

Duplicate notes

When converting the MIDI to an FNF JSON, the JSON has duplicates of notes. For example, when using all 16th notes, the duplicate notes appear one 16th note later.
I am using Cakewalk as my MIDI editor and Kade Engine for the game itself.
Here's what it looks like in Cakewalk
Here's what that becomes in game

Notes seem to glitch

Whenever i try to load a song using the kade engine on fnf the notes seem to just glitch back and foward
i dont know why??? can someone help me
