Workshop's goal

The goal of the workshop is to learn the elements below:

  • ✅ Why modularizing projects helps with scaling apps.
  • ✅ The definitions of library/framework, static/dynamic and how they are represented in Xcode projects.
  • ✅ How to create a module (framework/library) project.
  • ✅ How to link (connect) modules.
  • ✅ How Carthage works and how to use to to fetch external modules.
  • ✅ Generation of Xcode projects using XcodeGen and getting rid of the Xcode projects from the git repository.
  • ✅ Task automation using Sake.

On this repository

  • GitHubKit: Framework that cointains the components to interact with the GitHub API.
  • IssuesKit: Framework that cointains the app business logic.
  • App: iOS application that shows the user assigned GitHub issues.
  • Slides: The workshop slides.
