This project aims to add Department context information to Odoo Models.

This can help organizations where processes are strongly organized by Department.

purchase_department, purchase_requisition_department and framework_agreement_department: crash when current user has no employee

To reproduce: install purchase_department, log in as a user that has no related employee, and create a purchase order.

Same problem for the other two modules mentioned.

Add Department to Project Tasks

It should be an editable Task fields; in case a Project's Tasks relates to several departments, we may need to identify on each Task what Department it corresponds to.

Department in record rules

Anyone knows how to use departments in record rules?

Possible solutions:

• Add department field in user, but department information is duplicate.
• Add function field in user to show departments of related users.

Where I could do this? maybe in analytic_base_department, or in new module

Remove `analytic_department` dependency on `account`

Right now it forces you to install Accounting, but you may want to use it only with Projects, without having Accounting installed.

Error in crm view, attribute onchange: 'onchange_section_id'

Hello all,

We are using crm_department module, branch 8.0.
We have a problem creating sales opportunities. Loading opportunities Form view, shows the following error message:

AttributeError: 'crm.lead' object has no attribute 'onchange_section_id'

There is not a method called 'onchange_section_id'.

By now, we don't need section_id (Sales team), so we remove:

onchange_section_id(section_id)

from crm_view.xml to avoid the error message.

Please, what is the best solution for this issue?

Add "App" module for Department Management

It would add a "Use Departments" checkbox under Configuration -> General Settings,
This would install a fake module ("activate_department"?) and the feature modules would autoinstall depending on this.

purchase_requisition_department - name conflict

A module registered on apps already exists on https://github.com/Vauxoo/addons-vauxoo.git

@zaoral I guess it has exactly the same purpose. Any wish from vauxoo to merge with/use OCA version?

Break up the Department repo

It now feels unnatural for other repos to add a module here because they want to add the department.
"Department" is not a functional area per se.
I get the feeling that adding adding department to a model should be an option in the corresponding repo.
