revelator.io24.api's Introduction

PreSonus Revelator io24 API (Unofficial)

This project is to be able to control a PreSonus Revelator io24 interface through an API. This way we can have automations and plugins for Stream Deck, Touch Portal, Loupedeck, and more.

This API might also work for other Revelator models (currently only tested with a io44), but limited.

Progress

  • API: Still early, but many features are implemented. Try the Windows App to see what is possible.
  • Stream Deck plugin: Fat Channel Toggle, Routing, presets and headphone sources, with status.
  • Touch Portal plugin: Volume control, Fat Channel Toggle, Routing, presets and headphone sources, with status.
  • Loupedeck plugin: Volume control, Fat Channel Toggle, Routing, presets and headphone sources, with status.

  • Activate plugin through the manage plugins in the Loupedeck UI

Warnings

  • This API is unofficial, at any time, a update to the PreSonus Revelator io24 can break this API.
  • This project is in the early stages, expect some bugs.
  • There will be breaking changes between updates.

About the API

The Universal Control and UC Surface apps can be used to control some devices from PreSonus. The apps uses a protocol called UCNET that is not well documented, and easy to use by third parties.

This project aims to document and understand the part of this protocol that is used when comunicating with the io24, and create an API that is more understandable for making plugins, automations and such. There are already similar APIs like this for some other devices, but theese does not seem to work for this particular device.

revelator.io24.api's Issues

Is this project not being worked on anymore?

First of all, thank you for the plugin. I have been using it for the last year, and I love it. Are there any other planned features to be added (Like stream deck plus volume encoder support)?

Restart plugin when unable to communicate

Hi there!

Thank you for your brilliant work on this plugin!

would it be possible to add the option to restart the plugin when unable to communicate with the soundcard?

I have the issue that after resuming from standby or when connecting the soundcard with the Stream Deck already running, the plugin doesn't work.
restarting the Stream Deck software solves the issue.

I don't think the plugin is writing logs, so I am not sure on the actual cause.

Happy to send a contribution if you are interested.

Thank you!

Add StreamDeck button support for Phones, Blend and if possible the fader levels

Hi:

I'm using your software for controlling my Revelator USB mic and it works great. If possible, can you add to the StreamDeck plugin support for controlling the following parameters in Universal Control with buttons (for StreamDecks that don't have knobs):

  • Phones knob
  • Blend knob

If not too complicated, also this:

  • Microphone fader
  • Playback fader
  • Virtual A fader
  • Virtual B fader
  • Reverb fader
  • Main fader
  • Stream Mix A fader
  • Stream Mix B fader

Thanks so much in advance!

Revelator USB Mics and presets

The USB microphones has different number of possible presets. Therefor the switching will not work.

Need to update this to be set based on the Revelator type.

Presets not loaded automaticly?

Seems like we need to change from Mic L to Mic R and back to get Mic L list populated.
Might just be on the Revelator USB Mic. Need to investigate further.

Streamdeck plugin for Mac

Hi oddbear, thanks for your kind offer, would be great if you could do a Mac Version too! Thank you!!!! Best regards, Michael

StreamDeck Mac button to bring Main Out to 0db

Hi, to "stop output" it would be great if you could add a Stream Deck button for the Mac to bring the output of MAIN down to -96.00 dB and toggle back to 0.00dB. Thanks for your great work, highly appreciated! Best regards, Michael

StreamDeck Version 6.2.0 troubles

Hi, I just installed Streamdeck Version 6.2.0 and it looks like the action "Route Change" is not working anymore. I can add the action to a button, but if I press the button it does not toggle any action, key is just dead.

Not sure if this is a local issue only I am facing, so happy to hear from other users if this is connected to the StreamDeck Software update or not.

Kind regards, Michael

Companion commands?

Hi Oddbear, I love your stream deck module, working perfect. Now I am migrating to companion, is there a way to send commands directly to revelator IO 24 via commandline you are aware of. Specifically I search for a command or script I could run in my network to set the mail out do 0db or to 25db? Any idea from the pro on how to do this? Kind regards, Michael
