Issue Type: Bug

1. Choose the Quiet Light theme.
2. Make sure editor.highlightActiveIndentGuide is true
3. View a file with indents.
   

By comparison, here is how the Dark+ theme looks:

And Light+ gets it right:

They are all of light gray. Personally I changed the comment colour to a light green shade "#acd085" which looks good.

If the cursor is on a line that is inside a function at the top-level and at the very start of the line, it competes with the first bracket pair guide on the left (assuming the guides are enabled). You can no longer see the cursor flashing, and the end result is that the cursor becomes invisible
For example

function myFunc {
  some code
  some code
^---cursor here
  some more code
}

There is no problem with other (i.e. nested) bracket pair guides.

As is, styles surrounding embedded code leak their styles into the embedded blocks.
