Netflix Conductor Docker Image

A docker image that builds the Netflix Conductor on Ubuntu with DynomiteDB and Apache Tomcat.

This image runs the sample conductor server described in the Getting Started Guide. If the server dies/stops data will not be persisted

The built image can be found at Docker Hub

Running the docker image

Use the following command: docker run -t -i -p 3000:3000 -p 8080:8080 devopsopen/netflix-conductor (wait for gradle & npm installs)

NOTE: The gradle build process will not exit (as it is running the server)

Browse to http://localhost:3000 for the UI and http://localhost:8080/swagger-ui for the swagger docs

Building from Source

Clone the repo: git clone https://github.com/open-devops/docker-netflix-conductor.git

Build the image: docker build -t devopsopen/netflix-conductor .

docker-netflix-conductor's Issues

Startup.sh needs to be changed to run ./gradlew server in "/netflix/conductor" instead of "/netflix/conductor/test-harness"

Startup.sh needs to be changed

from :

cd /netflix/conductor/test-harness
../gradlew server &

to :
cd /netflix/conductor
./gradlew server &

Tomcat download url in dockerfile is no longer valid.(http://mirrors.ocf.berkeley.edu/apache/tomcat/tomcat-8/v8.5.9/bin/apache-tomcat-8.5.9.tar.gz)

The URL : http://mirrors.ocf.berkeley.edu/apache/tomcat/tomcat-8/v8.5.9/bin/apache-tomcat-8.5.9.tar.gz
returns a response of :

Not Found

The requested URL /apache/tomcat/tomcat-8/v8.5.9/bin/apache-tomcat-8.5.9.tar.gz was not found on this server.

Resolution : the url needs to be updated.

The command "docker run -t -i -p 3000:3000 -p 8080:8080 devopsopen/netflix-conductor" needs to be changed to include "devopsopen/docker-netflix-conductor" in the README.md file

The docker command to run needs to be updated in the README.md file.

Currently it says: docker run -t -i -p 3000:3000 -p 8080:8080 devopsopen/netflix-conductor
Expected : docker run -t -i -p 3000:3000 -p 8080:8080 devopsopen/docker-netflix-conductor
