OpenCode'18

Opencode is an open source event aimed to raise awareness about open source. It is a month long event where participants contribute to different projects and earn points simultaneously. A minified version of GSOC, OpenCode is organised by the FOSS wing of IIIT-Allahabad's technical society, Geekhaven.

How this works?

Participants are required to solve the issues and earn points.
At the end of competition, winner will be declared from top 5 by judging the quality of issues solved by them.So the participant with the most points need not be the winner.
Projects registered for the event can be solved to earn points. All of them can be found at OpenCode Organisation with label opencode.

Prizes and important points

Prizes (Cash prizes as well as Goodies) will be awarded in the following categories:

Grand prize winner (selected from the TOP 5 by the organizers) : Cash prize worth 2.5k, T-shirt, stickers and Certficate.
Top 5 Participants based on points: T Shirts, stickers, Certificates.
Participant with most points : Cash prize of 1k
Participant with second most points : Cash prize of Rs.500
Every participant with 4 PR merged will be awarded a digital participation certificate.
Top 5 will get direct admission to Hack In the North.
Amazon gift voucher worth Rs. 300/- will be presented to one lucky participant who puts the OpenCode poster as his facebook or tweets during the event and do the most social media outreach.
All mentors with 4 good PR's will get stickers and certificate.
Mentors as chosen by the organisers will be given passes to attend Aparoksha, the annual techfest of IIIT Allahabad.
There will be a repo only for female developers, for the same there will be a special prize.
Referral points will be given to any participant only for first 20 days.
A participant at anytime can have 2 issues assigned.If there is no activity on the issue for 3 days then the issue will unassigned and available to all.
For IIITA first year students, it is necessary to score 100 points to be eligible for FOSS Wing interviews.

Scoring Criteria

Each project will have issues open in it of varying difficulty and each issue will have points associated with it as below:

Rookie: 10 points
Skilled: 20 points
Advanced: 30 points
Expert: 50 points

Add custom scroll bar

add a custom scrollbar overriding the standard scroll bar

Make the flipped card automatically reset after sometime

when we click on the card it stays flipped until we click it again, so make it reset after say 3 to 4 sec.

Add a simple Pre-Loader for the website.

Add All the mentors

sort names alphabetically

The names in json is increasing. When displayed show them alphabetically

Create Pull Request Template

Suggest new issues

Suggest ideas for improvement of the site at comments, when suggesting be breif.
After that we will make issues , if we find it good. For each issue we make you get 20 points.
Issues will be made by the mentors and anyone can take up those issues
we will be deleting the comments which are not good!

Add logo

add referral option in contestants.json

Add watch trailer on nav bar and pop up for youtube video

Give hover effect to social Icons on the flip cards.

When hovered over the icons, the color of the icon should change to Light blue color.

Remove inline css

make seperate file for the inline css present in index.html

Add contribution guidelines

comment before solving issues.
solve merge conflicts.
follow proper code indentation.

Irrelevant horizontal scroll bar

I'm willing to fix this, can this be considered a task?

Make the mentor and participant cards flip when clicked

as of now the card is flipping on hover make it flip when clicked

Make simple JavaScript game

Make a JavaScript game and put links in https://github.com/opencode18/OpenCode-Collaborative/blob/master/json/game.json and send pr. (Updated Issue)
Both github repo link and gh pages link needed.
The games should be made after opencode started or we wont count it. Your old repo's as well.
