You can do it with the jvmOptions config. Example:

    <plugin>
        <groupId>net.wasdev.wlp.maven.plugins</groupId>
        <artifactId>liberty-maven-plugin</artifactId>
        <configuration> 
            <jvmOptions>            
                <param>-agentlib:jdwp=transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=7777</param>
            </jvmOptions>
        </configuration>
    </plugin>

Or do you rather mean a debug goal?
