I have mostly been using Google MyMaps to create the data layers. From Google MyMaps you can export a KML / KMZ file. However there is no way of automatically exporting / syncing data from Google MyMaps to a Github repo. Perhaps there is another tool that can take the place of Google MyMaps, and that would be able to sync data back to this repo?

It would be nice to be able to create a translation workflow for the data layer, which would allow to have the same data layer in multiple languages.

I currently have an instance of weblate up and running at https://translate.johnromanodorazio.com .

Unfortunately Weblate cannot handle KML as a translation source format. I wonder if it can handle GeoJSON if it were treated as generic JSON...

If that were the case, then it would also be nice to be able to automatically convert any KML files that are added or updated in the repository, to a corresponding GeoJSON format.
