We are an Adelaide South Australia based Online Learning Specialist company supporting clients in anything related to the delivery of Online Learning. Our clients are typically Educational & Training Providers in the Schools, VET (Adult Education) and Higher Education Sector as well as corporate training departments.
We have used Alfresco Community Edition for over 5 years now to support some of our larger clients with Alfresco CE as a Learning Object Repository with associated workflows to produce these Learning Materials. We have also connected Alfresco to a number of Learning Management Systems (such as Moodle LMS) as well as Social Learning Platforms.
Some of our clients which use Alfresco include
We currently have 3 staff members working with Alfresco CE
Leo Gaggl - LinkedIn
Kien Vu - LinkedIn
Marcus Fabriczy - LinkedIn
Our supported Operating Systems are CentOS and Ubuntu (with all new installations defaulting to Ubuntu of late). Currently we don't have any open repositories, but would be happy to start contributing some in future as well as assisting with blog entries and case studies in educational environments. Additionally we would be happy to contribute pieces of documentation on how to connect Alfresco to Educational Systems.
Dear all committees
We started using github issues for discussions but they are not a perfect solution, and since then we have the mailing lists which are more targetted and easier to archive.
The board has decided that discussion should take place on the mailing lists and that github issues should be used for issues raised around each committee, e.g. tasks etc. that need to be done.
Forthwith can we make sure that discussions are moved to the relevant mailing lists? If an issue needs wider visibility then crossposting to [email protected] should be acceptable.
Thanks
Martin

Try to persuade anyone who has proclaimed themselves a bee, and who is also presenting at summit, to add a slide or image about the Order to their presentation, and preferably also explain it a bit.

Hi,
we'd like to be listed at http://orderofthebee.org/professionals/ with the following entry:
Company Contentreich
Territory: Germany

Good morning,
I would like to have my company listed in the Professional Services Network.
We are being Alfresco Partner for 8 year and we have some Alfresco Certified employee.
We don't have a customer success story, but I think we can arrange a couple.
This is our Github Channel
https://github.com/CASTGroup
We have partecipated to some hack-a-thon projects:
We have made a couple of opensource addons:
We follow Enterprise customers as well, and in 2015 we presented at Alfresco Day in Milan an Alfresco integration with Expert.ai semantic platform for BPER Banca an Italian banking group.
We are in Italy and we are mainly system integrators.
This is the presentation
"CASTGroup, is part of Sys-dat group, with 16 offices in Italy and 350 employees.
CASTGroup is cutting edge of the design of complex systems and of the creation and implementation of reliable technical solutions for any business requirement. The achieved results are proved by the trust that important industrial and banking groups have placed in the company."
I live in Croatia and work mainly on French and English "market".
I had several CE projects, but I am not sure that I will get the approbation to add those companies names.
What I do:
I build custom solutions based on Alfresco and many time there is a complete custom UI involved.
As all of the "alfrescians" I work with Share too and build custom widgets. To describe my work I would say "Alfresco system integrator" :) as there is a lot of integrations that have to be done in order to have a functionnal application (from simple custom DB access to custom content store).
It looks like we'll have many tweets on the following topics:
It will be correct to tweet about every new activity. But in this case our primary twitter account will produce too much noise. I suggest to create sub-accounts for these 3 topics. So people who are interested in them can follow specific activity. And we can retweet interesting tweets to primary account.
Also, later we can add special account for Honeycomb distro.
Agree? Any another ideas?
Dear Aviriel
Our company has been open source "Simple Alfresco Upload Api for .NET"

I don't know how to announce and public to a member of OrderofTheBee Community.
Please help to announce to a community.
Hope it would be benefit to community.

Most techies hate marketing, in my experience. However there is a simple thing that anyone can do if they are participating in the forums and that is to add a signature line to the forum mentioning The Order and linking to it (if links are allowed in sigs, I haven't checked).
All new threads are announced by the bot 'aelfraed' in #orderofthebee, but they are also available at these two RSS feeds I built using Yahoo pipes, which aelfraed uses:
Forum new threads:
http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=b19035b26d6043492a31fbcba68f4b12&_render=rss
Actually I believe that Alfresco blogs are announced on this pipe too.
Stack Overflow new threads:
http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=ac5ae2cfa66271c209701bebff3b6f34&_render=rss
Unfortunately for this endeavour, but probably fortunately in every other sense, SO does not support signatures attached to every post.
We may need to come up with a standard signature for people to copy/paste, or to choose from several available sigs.

Hi,
I would like to add new links (and update the two existing ones) to the open repositories section in zylk.net's profile in Professional Services Network:
Best regards and thanks in advance.
--C.
Today we discussed a bit requirements for Systems Integrators and Freelancers to be added to the list.
The only requirement we had is providing contacts of one or more customers who are willing to be a reference. Of course, we understand that it's difficult to get an approval from a customer to publish its name. So we decided to simplify an order of approving requester. Current version of requirements:
For the Order members:
A company or a person should be vouched by at least 2 member of the Order, and 1 of them should be a Board member. None of the vouchers should be an employee of the company.
If you vouch someone, it means that you know this person, you know his job and his deep knowledge in Alfresco.
For other people/companies (and for those members who want):
Providing a name and contacts of the customer. The best way is to provide a success story that can be published.
Why we make it easier for members to be published? Because all members have open repositories with their add-ons, technical blog posts and other ways to verify their knowledge. And the primary goal of this activity is to form a list of tech-savvy specialists and reliable companies.
Add a comment here if you want to order a t-shirt together with us and pick it up on Alfresco Summit.
We are going to order t-shirts with http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/, so you can check the price on their website.
Enter the following information in your comment:
By default we order t-shirts with a bee on the front (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/OrderOfTheBee/marketing/master/T-Shirts/white_t-shirt.png) and with a URL on the back (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/OrderOfTheBee/marketing/master/T-Shirts/white_t-shirt_back.png)
Dear fellow bees of the marketing committee,
I'm opening this issue so that you guys can define a Committee Chair. There was also an email related to this sent by Marsbard. As a reminder, this is what it is said on our by-laws about the Chair: "Each committee must select a committee chair. The committee chair keeps things on track, delegates tasks, and reports progress to the community. How the chair is selected is up to the committee. If more than one person feels strongly that they should be chair, the committee shall put the matter to a vote".
The first task of the Chair would be to send me a report of the activities and plans by the Summit in London. That is next week. So, please try to come up with a name and a short report. The report should not be more than 1 page.
Thanks in advance,
cheers
Boriss
aka Bee Mejias
Hi Oksana,
would you please so kind to add also our company to the professionals list?
We should definitely also add success stories since we could tell many of them but haven't written them down with our customers ...
Cheers
Heiko

We should choose a slogan and a bee image to print them on the t-shirts. Also we should choose the color and the type of the T-shirt.
Also we need to know who wants to have a t-shirt (Name, quantity, size). We don't have a sponsor at this moment, so, probably, we will pay ourselves for the T-shirts on Summit.
Hello,
I'm the father of two wonderful daughters. During their hollidays, they discovered the rainbow loom world.
That gave me the idea to create the following figurine:
The photo is pretty bad and this is only the first time I do such thing (so the result is higlhy perfectible), but I think there's something fun to do with this.
For information, I "hacked" this model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9y_9dN_lrE

We also have an Alfresco Day in Vienna on the 1st of December: https://www.alfresco.com/node/4132
Thanks!
We should create a monthly newsletter to keep the wider Alfresco community informed about what's happening with OOTB and the Alfresco community in general. This could include:
In my opinion this is complementary to the existing mailing list which is used by active OOTB members for discussions and has too much activity for people who just want to stay informed.
We can use http://mailchimp.com which is free for the first 2000 subscribers.
What do you think?
