Client connected but results are useless?

I'm attempting to connect to a database using node-tds. I have slightly modified the example.js file to connect and run 1 query. No matter what I run for the query I get undefined as the result. Also these lines are dumped to the screen and they never change.
p.s. the examples are wrong. there is no execute method. it's executeQuery.
