This application is made is response to PDEng Software Technology Program. It manages hiring for new recruits for any industrial environment

SmartHire

This solution named "SmartHire" consist of two portals and a landing page with updated functionalities and redesigned user experience. It uses sentiment analysis to provide staff with a better understanding of the candidate's experience. It has NodeJs for the backend and ReactJs for the frontend. APIs are made available through postman. For testing purposes, the application is deployed on Heroku and it has IBM Watson usage for providing chatbot functionality.

Make sure that you install Postman from this link first

To install the backend packages

npm install

To install the frontend packages

cd frontend && npm install

Add .env file with Zohomail credentials

Make sure that you add .env file with username and password from Zohomail while following this link

To run Backend on localhost

Make sure that the packages are installed and .env file configured before running the application on localhost.

npm start

To run Frontend on localhost

Make sure that the backend is running and on the on another command prompt, run the following commands from the application location.

cd frontend && npm start
