pwa's Issues

Views

We are trying to replicate as much of the original audiopedia.app views as possible

  • Build views with fake data (see @BachToTheFuture 's scraped csv for content if you need)
    • List of tracks with audio player at top
    • Autoplay next track in sequence
    • Include text/audio for playlist title and topic title in sequence
    • [LOW PRIORITY] Collapsible playlist views โ€” current (and selected) playlist(s) and expanded
    • [low priority for now] Language selection

audiopedia.app Design Critique

[LOW PRIORITY] We are for now simply recreating the current audiopedia.app interface, but a writeup of the ways in which we may be able to improve it would be helpful (for the engineers or for future developers).

  • Add a document to the team Notion with notes on potential modifications based on Code for America's feedback (with a focus on accessibility for users with limited literacy/computer literacy).
  • This article may or may not be helpful in thinking through this

Setup for Gatsby PWA

Follow this tutorial from the Gatsby docs. Parts 4-7 are particularly important! Part 8 will be important later.

Note: we are trying to evaluate if we should
- build a RESTful API with Django REST Framework for our backend and create a local plugin for Gatsby's data layer
- we should just use unstructured data
- use Graphene-Django to build a GraphQL API straightaway
So your evaluation of the different ways to pull data into the Gatsby app is crucial! See Notion doc (Onboarding meeting notes) for more details.

audio

figure out where audio files are hosted/where we are playing them from or whether we need to host and store them ourselves
