io-api's Introduction

OsmSharp

This repository is not maintained anymore. Check osmsharp.com for more info.

From the website:

OsmSharp used to do everything on top of what it does today, including routing and rendering geo data. This was too much and the name OsmSharp didn’t make sense anymore. Now the old functionality has been replaced by several seperate projects:

  • OsmSharp: Working with OSM-data, filtering, transforming.
  • Itinero: The routing project is now maintained under the name Itinero.
  • UI: This UI and rendering project has not been replaced. Instead we recommend using Mapsui.

io-api's Issues

Add some CI

I think it would be great to have a CI that runs on every commit and at least checks the non edit part of the API to make sure it is working as expected.
At minimum this should run the build process to make sure it didn't break...
Also an easy CI button to publish the package will help here.

Bring in OsmApiClient

Hi @xivk,

I see that this repo isn't very maintained.
@blackboxlogic and I are working on the following project together which I think is similar:
OsmApiClient
I think it might be beneficial to bring it in under the umbrella of OsmSharp, what do you think?
I'm using it in production for a while now which great success.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed with this.
Generally speaking, the maintenance of this will still be with @blackboxlogic and myself so besides the initial setup I don't see any work from you end.

I'm a maintainer in this organization, but I don't have the permissions to create a new repo or assign the relevant permissions in order to add secrets for example to publish nuget packages (I think).

Switch to api.openstreetmap.org API host

Use api.openstreetmap.org/api/ -and HTTPS- instead of www.openstreetmap.org/api/*.

(Is: openstreetmap/operations#951)

Note, api.openstreetmap.org API url currently can not do OAuth 2 handshake. See openstreetmap/operations#951 (comment)
You can split the www. base URL and api. API url. See osmlab/osm-auth#123 (comment)

See also osmlab/osm-auth#123 (comment) for another solution.

  • Update production URL documentation
  • Update authentication URL as needed.

(Maintainers can edit this post to update the to-do list.)

Align naming to prepare for publishing

@xvik @blackboxlogic Please let me know what should be the next step in terms of package rename, repo rename, etc.
I'm fine with whatever works for you guys.
The only thing that's currently missing is adding a secret to this repo to allow publishing a package (and testing it obviously).
Once we select a name (and a namespace) I can replace it everywhere and publish a package.
Waiting for your input here in order to proceed.
