I don't understand what you are trying to do here. Are you trying to change the name of the nodelet manager that the capability server creates?
How are are you doing this, give me more details, like the full launch file and how you are running it and what you are running it with.

I added dd63a39 to #55, so that you can specify the name of the capability manager as a rosparam. Maybe this will address your use case?

For testing proper loading of app nodelets into the caps server's nodelet manager, I started alternating things after the default settings worked.
First alternation was using a namespace. For the second test I wanted to change the nodelet manager's name. To do so the only way I found was modifying 'capabilities_server/src/capabilities/capability_server_nodelet_manager.launch'. Changing things there led to do problems described.

Yes, it does. This approach solves this issue here as well as #57. Please close both, once you have merged PR #55. Maybe you can add a fix for #53 in that PR as well.
