incorrectly aligned "oVirt authentication in progress ..."
Force cockpit logout after install.sh
The root
user is required to run the plugin for the first time, since the install dialog will pop-up and the install.sh
script will be executed to update cockpit's config files.
This procedure will be described within: https://github.com/mareklibra/cockpit-machines-ovirt-provider/issues/1
In the scope of this issue, force either Cockpit or the user to log out after successful install.sh
is execution so the updated config files comes to effect.
VM status visualization
incorrect link from README
the link to https://github.com/mareklibra/cockpit/tree/machines.providers from readme if 404
the "host", "cluster", "templates" etc links are not marked when active
When I click for example the "templates" in the "cluster", the "cluster" and "templates" should be highlighted for context. Without this it is easy to get lost.
Redundant items in Restart and Shutdown dropdowns
break long description into more lines

Handled via oVirt API.

or similar.
if the ovirt provider is enabled, make the "cluster" view default
add option to show VDSM logs
handle incorrectly set engine url
if the cors is not enabled on ovirt-engine, no error on cockpit
only the console contains a warning:
Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at http:///ovirt-engine/api/hosts. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing). (unknown)
add to description after
after this part:
engine-config -s CORSSupport=true # To turn on the CORS support for the REST API
engine-config -s CORSAllowDefaultOrigins=true # To allow CORS for all configured hosts
also the
systemct restart ovirt-engine
so it will not be forgotten
verify ovirt API version before starting to communicate with it
add option to import the libvirt machine into ovirt
If we are on a machine where there are libvirt machines running, it would be nice to have a button like: "import this machine to oVirt" or similar.
