paced.me's Issues

Implement a blog

  • The blog should be from Storyblok but statically generated.
  • An index file is needed for searching (and of course add a search feature).
  • While doing this, the rest of the info should be gathered from Storyblok.
  • At the end, very little hardcoded information should be present.

Improve mobile navigation

Full-width buttons, more padding, and a clear striped table are the first steps.

The next step is to add a listener when tapping outside of the nav menu. Also, close the menu when navigating.

Add a dark mode

It should be possible to switch between the two. Media queries?

Redesign and rewrite the styles with Tailwind

I've got some experience with Tailwind now so I'm going to rewrite things. It's good to practice and it shows initiative to potential employers. Plus Tailwind is just fun, so why not.

  • Inbuilt dark mode based on media queries, including an OLED dark mode (toggleable, non-default).
  • Completely different structure based on columns with bolder design. Taken inspiration from Ghost's management: two sidebars and a content screen, but smoother.
  • Tasteful animations are used with Framer Motion. Ideally, they should be able to be turned off.
  • Colour scheme is updated to be easier to read: a white/black, darkish yellow, and magenta theme as it is now. Both pure white and pure black probably shouldn't be used to style the background if better contrast is possible.
  • Clean dropdown-based mobile design.

Make web content skinnier and mobile content the same

The margins are currently based on the view width. It's a bit too wide at the moment. That results in too much eye movement to read the page.

This is especially clear on the profile page. That page should be 4 items per row, not 3.

Reduce animation latency

Looks like the animation is choppy. Better to not have animations at all if this is the case.

First confirm that it actually is choppy, though.
