arc-kde's Issues

New version tag

Hi. It seems that some new important fixes arrived.
Should we tag new version for packaging? Or lets switch to git-date-rolling, like Papirus?

Release version naming.

Wireshark highlighted packet/text white

Hello guys!

Just installed Arc theme for my desktop, but if I select a package/or text in Wireshark with Qt(GTK version of Wireshark works perfectly), text change to white and it's unreadable. I tried to change color scheme in Wireshark, and System Settings, but nothing works:
screenshot_20170611_153455

plasma theme

is this a arc-kde plasma theme, or does it work only with kvantum.

my wish is to make a arc plasma theme with color scheme and so on and than a arc look and feel package. I'd like also to work on it, so that my vision get real.

Highlight active button when using keyboard with Kvantum and Qt-based applications

When using one of the Arc themes for Kvantum, the active button (which can be changed with the arrow keys or TAB on the keyboard) is never highlighted, which makes keyboard navigation difficult. I only have this problem with Qt-based applications.

However, when I'm in a GTK+ application or using the built-in Kvantum theme, dotted lines indicate the active button, which would be the expected behaviour.

I'm using Manjaro Linux with KDE Plasma 5.10.3 and Qt 5.9.1.

How to fix menu bar

i get some error

sudo sh ~/.local/share/plasma/desktoptheme/Arc-Dark/fix-menubar.sh

sh: 0: Can't open /home/zahidcode/.local/share/plasma/desktoptheme/Arc-Dark/fix-menubar.sh

how to fix that ?

Too small window title bar since ~2 weeks

This started about 2 weeks ago. Don't know if it is a recent update in Plasma or something but the default title bars from KDE (breeze, oxygen etc.) work without problems. Any clues what could be wrong?

I use Arch Linux, up-to-date packages, kvantum is enabled.

Installing PPA Fails (GPG error)

Hey guys!

Apperantly when I tried to install arc-kde on a new Debian 9 installation i got this error:

I suppose it has something to do with the fact that the papirus gpg key is empty. How can I fix this?

Best wishes

Menus seem oddly aligned

This doesn't seem right. There's way too much of a gap at the top and the left side is not aligned with the top menu highlight.

Hitbox of 'close-window' Button

On pretty much all (preinstalled) themes, being it Windows 'default' or under Linux 'KDE breeze' it is very comfortable to be able to quickly drag the mouse to the top-right corner (where the close button is) and press to close a window.

On Arc-KDE there is a small dead-zone just around the close-button so you actually have to hit the button kinda of more precise if you want to close a window. I've found myself wanting to crush my mouse for 'it's inaccuracy' quite some times now =/

Suggestion : Battery Icon

Hi,

the theme is very very great, but I have some problem with the battery :/

It's very difficult to see if the pc is charging or not, can we do something ?

Without charging : https://vgy.me/2xAML3.png

With charging : https://vgy.me/hLGqxS.png

This is the only problem with this theme, we can't know the position of the battery.

And, do u think that we can do a red icon when the battery is critical ?

Thanks!

Problem with some App after last update

Desktop pager's window outlines hidden by highlight color

Hi! Love the theme, it's working out great for me. One little hickup though! I like to use a the desktop pager widget on my panel. However, the outlines of opened windows on the pager are now hidden behind the blue highlighting of both the active desktop, and any desktop that is hovered over with the mouse.

edit: I installed from the ubuntu PPA, so perhaps this is already fixed in the latest build?

Steps to reproduce:
-Add a desktop pager widget to the panel.
-Add a virtual desktop so there are at least two.
-Open any application.

Expected results:
-On the pager, the rectangle representing the current desktop shows the outline of the opened window.

Actual results:
-The rectangle showing the current desktop is completely blue, and no window outlines can be seen.
-The outlines of any open windows on other desktops are similarly hidden when the mouse hovers over pager rectangle representing that desktop.

Note: In the default Breeze theme, there is a blue highlight, but it is transparent, allowing the outlines (and icons, if they are turned on) to be seen.

Transparency issues with window decorations when using blur

When "Blur" is activated under "System Settings -> Desktop Behavior -> Desktop Effects" the transparency on the rounded edges of the window decoration becomes visible due to artifacts of the blurring. The issue is especially visible when the window is hovering over a high contrast background. This seems to be an issue with arc-kde rather than an upstream bug because the default "Breeze" theme does not show the issue
screenshot_20170601_004744
The image above illustrates the issue where there's an apparent hard edge where it should be rounded on the top left corner of the window.

Remove dependencies on konversation and yakuake

On a clean KDE Neon install, this what is added with arc-kde:

The following NEW packages will be installed:
arc-kde konversation konversation-data kvantum yakuake

Can you make the .deb package just place the theme files for those applications in the appropriate directories without forcing people to install their packages?

Splash change (sugestion)

This isn't a bug, but a sugestion..

The sugestion is change the background from splash initial to a black background.. like this:

Similar to current KDE splash

store.kde.org

Hi,

I'd like to upload a L&F package to the kde store. Therefore I would upload everything (color scheme, plasma theme, ...) in the kde store. I'm not sure if it's possible to have a team in the store. can I upload stuff in your name @varlesh or should I upload it with my account? I don't want to upload YOUR stuff under my account.

Deactivated title bar buttons behave incorrectly

The theme lacks icons for deactivated buttons, hence deactivated buttons are displayed like normal ones in active windows, while entirely disappear in inactive ones.

For example, in an active KCalc window, where the Maximize button is deactivated, it shows up as normal:

KCalc active

However, when the window is inactive, it disappears altogether:

KCalc inactive

An Arc Light theme

Can you do a light theme which has the original color palette of Arc theme (unlike Arc-Dark/er)?

Change icon theme?

I've noticed that in this image, a custom icon theme is used instead of the one that comes with Firefox.

I'd like to know if it's possible to do this in the latest stable version of FF (V50.1.0).

Using a different icon theme

After applying Arc Dark theme from System Settings → Workspace Theme → Look and Feel, the icons changed: In applications, there were no icons (beside buttons, for example).

I preferred the Breeze Dark icons to the ones that come with Arc. So, I changed icon theme back to Breeze Dark in System Settings.

However, Arc is still using whatever custom theme it uses, and Breeze is only applied in the applications.

Please add dependencies to Arc KDE look and feel theme

Since Plasma 5.9 you can specify dependencies in your look and feel theme. It will download all required resources from KDE Store.

Please add:

New package version scheme bug

Hi,
After last changes version scheme in PKGBUILD, Octopi still shows that the package is NOT up to date.
https://i.imgur.com/2Z9W2YM.png

I think issue is here in PKGBUILD:

pkgver() {
    cd "${srcdir}"
    printf "r%s.%s" "$(git rev-list --count HEAD)" "$(git rev-parse --short HEAD)"
}

Becouse after makepkg -s "pkgver" is changed to "r."

Windows title is not centered properly

It seems that the title is centered according to the space apart from the windows buttons, which should be centered according to the whole title bar.

Margin of context menu.

Hello! First of all it is great work.

I have encountered margin of context menu. And all context menus has this margin. I do right click by on desktop or dolphin or another non-gtk application. Probably it's not an issue and it can be fixed by editing of a config from the project. But I don't which config should edited for correcting this margin.

I've attached screenshot for clearance

Thanks. Sorry if my english is not clear.

Eclipse themes not working

Hello,

Thank you for all your work.

I'm just setting up a new eclipse environment, and thought I'd take advantage of your wonderful work, however it doesn't seem to work. I followed the instructions, and the EPF imports ok, but it doesn't apply the colours:

screenshot_20170806_233445

I tried restarting with no luck. Do I need to force GTK 2 for this to work? I know that will then use the system GTK (I remember having trouble with other things before) but I know that's not the ideal solution if the GTK3 theme can be bludgeoned into submission :-)

Edit: I mistyped the topic, but can't change it, sorry.

[Aurorae] close button and maximized window

A click on the upper right pixel of the screen doesn't close a maximized window when using the Aurorae Arc theme. There is a 1 or 2 px difference between the close button and the edge. Maybe because the window corners are rounded and not rectangular. Anyway, it's very annoying :p

Buttons attached to the marge

The buttons are displayed correctly when the window is not 100%,
screenshot_20170331_144318

but the buttons are shown glued to the magen right when it is maximized.

QSS Stylesheet?

I'm not familiar with theming enough to know if qss stylesheets would be useful enough or not, but some applications like SMPlayer seem to be able to use them to make similar changes that the active DE theme would do such as a windows background.

In my case I prefer a light theme but for some apps to have a dark theme. I was able to use Breeze Light and have SMPlayer use the PapirusDark theme, but it would not look like the screenshot. Turns out that you can create a style.qss file to place in the themes directory and get a dark styled app.

I'm not aware of any other way to apply a theme to an app different from the active one used for the rest of the DE/apps. I suggest it here as it may be useful for some other apps other than SMPlayer, users could then use the file maintained in this repo.

konsole color scheme broken

color0 and color7 have almost no contrast in both schemes. here an excerpt from the dark one:

[Background]
Color=56,60,74

[Color0]
Color=64,69,82

[Color7]
Color=39,44,53

also the intense colors are partly ugly neon…
