stackicons's Issues

Bower Component

Hi Parker, have you thought about making this available as a Bower component? It only takes a few minutes, I would love to play with it there :)

Validation errors.

Hi. thank you for great library!. I implemented it in my site and it rocks!

I'd like to suggest fixing some CSS3 validation rules. Running http://stackicons.pixelsbrackets.netdna-cdn.com/css/stackicons-min.css in W3C CSS Validator results with 30 errors and 40 warnings. maybe it is possible to fix at least some of those errors.

The selector ".raised" was not found.

Hi,

I cloned the repo and simply called
D:\Webs\github_sonst\parkerbennett\stackicons>compass compile

I got the following output:

    error scss/stackicons-social-minimal.scss (Line 265 of scss/stackicons-social-minimal/_css-defaults-stackicons-social-minimal.scss: ".raise-on-hover .st-icon:hover:before" failed to @extend ".raised".
The selector ".raised" was not found.
Use "@extend .raised !optional" if the extend should be able to fail.
)
    error scss/stackicons-social.scss (Line 265 of scss/_css-defaults-stackicons-social.scss: ".raise-on-hover .st-icon:hover:before" failed to @extend ".raised".
The selector ".raised" was not found.

)
Compilation failed in 2 files.

What was the sass version you comiles the scss-files with?

SVG imported to Fontastic/Icomoon/etc. then re-exported produces icons that are off-kilter

Has anyone tried to import Stackicons-Social-Minimal.svg and Stackicons-Social.svg to services like icomoon and Fontastic? The icons are clipped when viewed in those apps, and when exported, the drawing of the icon is off to the right within its element and gets strangely clipped on mouseover. Really strange. See below...

fontastic 2014-03-11 23-46-06 2014-03-11 23-46-13

untitled 2014-03-11 23-47-21 2014-03-11 23-47-26

untitled 2014-03-11 23-49-01 2014-03-11 23-49-03

The reason why I use Icomoon/Fontastic is simply that I don't need all the social icons in the 'minimal' set and need some from the full set. The font files are rather heavy as they are, I want to hand-pick. Hence why I am generating new font files.

[request] add release tags

we are cdnjs team, and could you add version tags so that we can host and auto update your project, then make users get your new version in feature. thank you :)

Website completely broken due to same-origin policy

Hey,

I was just linked to your website because of all those “pretty icons” and essentially saw nothing at all:

Screenshot

All the webfonts you are using are blocked because of Firefox’ same-origin policy which also applies to webfonts. You should either host the webfonts on the same domain, or enable cross-origin resource sharing on your CDN to fix this.

For completeness-sake, this is what Firefox tells me:

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at http://stackicons.pixelsbrackets.netdna-cdn.com/fonts/Stackicons/Stackicons-Branding.woff. This can be fixed by moving the resource to the same domain or enabling CORS. Stackicons-Branding.woff

Icons Request

Firstly, GREAT WORK.
By far the best implementation of svg / font icons.

Please consider adding these:

  • Globe (Very useful specially for internationalization | Language Menu)
  • Shopping Cart
  • Houzz, Etsy, StoreEnvy, SquareMarketplace icons (you already have ebay / amazon)
  • HTML5 / CSS3

THANK YOU!!!!

White background

If icon used in a non-white background website, there isn't any background due to icon structure.

Dump PNGs for hosting on CDNs?

I was looking for 2-3 social network icons in PNG/JPG format to include in a transactional email template. Those things are notorious for bag browser support, so SVG was a no go, and even icon fonts weren't very promising in terms of support on odd email clients.

So I went looking for social media icons hosted on CDNJS, and only found https://cdnjs.com/libraries/webicons, which is really old school (rounded corners, gradients, the works).
