DESCRIPTION

This program allows you to generate the market sentiment indicator of a particular stock. This program is developed to generate market sentiments indicator for our research titled "A novel approach to forecasting equity price movements with the help of neural network based on heuristics and market sentiments". The analyst opinion recommendation trends from Yahoo Finance!™ has been used for providing market sentiments indicator. The data was provided by Thomson/first call website.

COMMAND LINE USAGE

To generate the market sentiments indicator using recomtrend, enter the following into the terminal -

        $ python recomtrend.py <Stock Symbol>

Examples:

        $ python recomtrend.py AAPL
        $ python recomtrend.py XOM
