This game dev octree article randomly popped up on reddit. I've used these before for O(n log(n)), and it would be worth referencing.

I like the idea of teaching package managers, file formats, and git, and then showing how the IPython project uses each of these.

The tutorial is only two hours. We should take out the optimization lesson.

I just came across snakeviz, which take profiler code and converts it into an interactive website. Might be worth adding to the optimization section.

It would be fairly straightforward to add a section on multiprocessing to the optimization section. However, this may overcomplicate the lesson.

There have already been lectures on this exact topic, with this repo being highly relevant. It's been curated over multiple uses, so it's likely better than what we could make.
