Requirements

• PHP7.1+
• Composer

Installation

Download the project and install dependencies

composer create-project peehaa/web-news

Set up the configuration

Copy /config/config.sample.php to /config/config.php and make the changes to it for your environment.

Generate the encryption key

php cli/generate-encryption-key.php

Set up the web server

Set your document root to the /public directory and route all requests through the /public/index.php file.

Allow a way to register to specific groups / threads to receive notifications in some way?

Storage:

• Using local storage when not logged
• Using persistent cross machine storage when logged in
• Perhaps a way to merge local storage into persistent storage
