proxy not work about switchy

Exactly the same error her for me. Absolutely the same Messages. It's really 
annoying. Running Ubuntu Karmic.

Running Kubuntu 8.04 here (KDE 3), same problem. Plugin won't work.

Here is the result of the extra tests for the Linux Support page.

[no result]
