List Converter is a Zed extension that adds code actions for converting selected text into Markdown-style lists in Markdown and Plain Text buffers.

• Markdown and Plain Text only
• Code actions for the current selection
• Unordered and numbered list conversion

Select one or more lines, then open code actions in Zed and choose one of these actions:

• Convert to unordered list
• Convert to numbered list

For example, selecting this text:

apples
bananas
carrots

and choosing Convert to numbered list rewrites it as:

1. apples
2. bananas
3. carrots

The rewrite works in unsaved buffers because the language server operates on the in-memory document contents it receives from Zed.

1. Install the language server binary on your PATH:

   cargo install --path language-server

2. Install this repository as a dev extension in Zed with zed: install dev extension.

3. Open Zed from a terminal with zed --foreground if you want extension logs.
