Home Assistant Configuration & Lovelace Images

This is a work in progress. I'm just getting my config out in the open for now and will be making changes in the future. If you have questions, please message me on the forum. @Petro.

home-assistant-config's Issues

Harmony activities hassio

I am very new to Hassio and in my research came across some of your notes. I have gone through setting up activities but unable to get them to show up. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Simply visually awesome your Home Assistant configuration

Huge thanks for sharing.

Hunting for long time (maybe from one year ago) a implemented HA like yours, but never found nothing enough well build and visually as good your Lovelace customization.
I want replicate most of your configuration aproach, but I dont have not enough deep knowledge HA to understand all you implemented to Lovelace customization and mainly all your scripts to launch all main tasks.
I´m not a software developer as you can easily imagine, and I´m in the hardware layer working in IT from more than 30 years, but still learning first steps in software development.
I´m day by day studing your config and little step by step I undertand better.
Best regards.

Very sorry about hickjaking with this message your github, of course you can delete this "fake issue" I posted, but I cannot find other good way to send you this.

Change theme

When new iOS app is released you can move away from the home-assistant blue. Come up with a new theme.

  • See if you can add attributes into the theme that are unused but used in personal lovelace files. (not sure if that will work). This of course may not work for the base theme.

Question re: groups

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your config, its very helpful and inspiring ! I did have a question re: groups.yaml though if you have a second...

# Removing to reduce configuration changes when a new item is added.
# Goal is to just add a new 'light/device' to an area and the interface
# will handle the rest.

you mention that this is deprecated but your comment on its replacement isnt exactly clear to me... I often find myself strugging with groups and that fact that you can compose groups of groups is kinda mind blowing to me :)
