I noticed that, among other things, KWin uses the pirate
cursor for its "Kill Window" action.
Would it be possible to add a symlink from pirate
to the kill
icon? Thanks! :)
Hi there,
I noticed the copy and ask cursors in Gnome 41 were missing, just need to add the symlinks dnd-copy
to copy
and dnd-ask
to help
, and all works well.
Thanks for such a wonderful cursor set.
Hello great set of cursors, thanks!
I am using gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface cursor-size <size>
to change the size of the cursor, but it seems to me that there is no difference between 24-32 and between 48-64.
Any ideas?
Very nice cursors, but they don't scale at all. (Tested on KDE Plasma 5.23). The cursors are perfectly legible on my right-side 1080p monitor, but on my left-hand 1440p monitor they're tiny.
Because there is no size 24*1.5=36 the cursor looks slightly blurry on 150% scaling. Tested on KDE
Hi, I compared your theme with Adwaita and came up with this list of symlinks that you could add for more use-case coverage. I hope it helps.
First of all, great job!
I've been using Breeze for a long time and it's nice to se a similar but improved one!
However, for some reason I've not been able to set the cursor size. With Breeze all I had to do in ~/.Xresources
was:
Xcursor.theme: Breeze_Default
And the cursor looked fine no matter what resolutions or dpi (I use up to three different, depending on the screens I'm using).
I've tried with:
Xcursor.theme: phinger-cursors
Xcursor.size: 24
Both 24 and 32 look too small and identical (like it's 16x16). But setting it to 48 looks too big ...
Any hints? Thank you!
As title says: there is no cursor when I hover over GIMP. Cursor appears in some situations, i.e. when cursor hover dock border (resizing cursor), or when hover over text input (text input curosr), this is pretty much every situation where cursor exists
P.S. Sorry for bad English
Hey,
I like the design of Phinger, but I have a problem with the cursor size.
For me, Breeze Light at size 24 has the perfect size.
Phinger Light at size 24 is too small (especially the normal cursor) and size 32 is too big (especially the resize and text cursors).
I'm using KDE Plasma 5.23.90 on Arch btw using the AUR package version 1.1-3.
Breeze Light, Size 24:
Phinger Light, Size 24:
Phinger Light, Size 32
(is it named Phinger because of the word finger? xD)

Custom cursor theme isn't available in the gtk-common-themes provided by snap. Enabling it for GTK applications in my ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini didn't work.
I encounter this problem on my desktop PC (AMD RX 6800) running Ubuntu 23.04 as well as Fedora 38.
I am using the latest stable Mesa (23.1.4).
Gnome-shell crushes when in overview, and one drags any window arround. It only happens on a X11-session. With Wayland everything works just fine.
I love the theme but I was wondering if it is possible to not use the transparent borders? I don't know if it is just my setup somehow but they dont have enough contrast for me and I find it hard to see the cursor. If it's not possible all good.
Similar to #5, happens both on Wayland and X11.
