Create .env.local:

ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=sk-ant-...

npm run dev

Open http://localhost:3000. That's it.

The CLAUDE_MODEL env var defaults to claude-opus-4-6. You can change it to any Claude model.

Radical transparency. The source code is public. The AI prompt is in the repo (src/lib/prompts/analyze.txt). The scoring weights are documented. You can verify every claim we make.

Anti-hallucination. Every suggestion must reference real CV content. If something isn't in your resume, it's not mentioned. Generic advice = system failure.

Zero discrimination. We don't penalize career gaps, non-linear paths, or non-traditional education. We don't infer gender, age, ethnicity, or nationality.

Privacy by design. No database, no accounts, no tracking cookies. Your resume exists only during analysis and is discarded immediately.

Empowerment, not fear. No negative language, no inflated urgency, no scare tactics. A low score means the resume can present you better — not that you're inadequate.

MaxCV complies with data protection laws across multiple jurisdictions:

• TLS/SSL on all communications
• HTTP security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy, Permissions-Policy)
• Input sanitization before Claude API calls
• Rate limiting (7 requests/hour per IP)
