wooddumper.nds freezes DS upon loading

Upon running wooddumper on the "Gold Pro" R4 Card, the progress bar freezes at around 20%, and causes the entire DS to lock up. A hard reset is required to use it again.
No other game or application causes this, and wooddumper slot-2 has the same behaviour.

wooddumper not reading past card ID

I'm not sure if r30 is meant to actually dump the full card data, but upon starting the app and pressing A I get:

Set a target card.
: OK
card id: 7c2
Set a target card.
: OK
