Display capture published via Syphon for OS X 10.8+.

GENERAL

Screener takes cues from the v002 Screen CapturePlugIn and provides a standalone application that publishes a display's content to a Syphon server. For high-quality recording needs, the intention is to pair with Syphon Recorder. Please select an appropraite compressor, output resolution and frame rate to fit available hardware resources - for more information, see the menu item Syphon Recorder Help in Syphon Recorder's Help menu.

HOW TO BUILD

• Clone the repository and submodules git clone --recursive git://github.com/pizthewiz/Screener.git
• Open the project in Xcode, Build and Run.

screener's Issues

Crash after re-selecting display NONE

Selecting a display works,
switching between displays works,
switching from an external display to "- NONE -" works,

but switching from my internal display to "- NONE -" causes a consistent reproducible crash.

Syphon output sometimes glitchy until relaunch(es)

The view within the screener app looks normal, but the feed passed to Syphon seems garbled.

This could potentially be my fault; when I first tried to build Screener, I got:

So I changed all the references to "Syphon.framework" (in Build Phases, linked frameworks, etc) to point to my own /Library/Frameworks/Syphon.framework which might be out of date or something. I'll check and make sure when I get the chance.

Multiple Monitors

Is there any way we can stitch together multiple monitors into one syphon feed?
