Encoding issue with non ASCII characters

Example:
current Wheat_td.csv Trait description is missing ü in Müller toward the end:

Septoria nodorum blotch incidence in the plants caused by the agent Stagonospora nodorum (syn. Septoria glume blotch) (Phaeosphaeria nodorum (E. M ller) Hedjaroude (syn. Stagonospora nodorum).

Should be:

Septoria nodorum blotch incidence in the plants caused by the agent Stagonospora nodorum (syn. Septoria glume blotch) (Phaeosphaeria nodorum (E. Müller) Hedjaroude (syn. Stagonospora nodorum).

I have created a dedicated branch. We are working on it and will let you know as soon as it seems complete by assigning it to @marieALaporte if that's fine with you. Let us know if you want to discuss this.

Merge JIC traits with master.

There has been version mixing. JIC variables have been added to the www.cropontology.org website without reusing the latest version which was available only in github.
Action:

  • JIC version downloaded from Crop ontology web site and saved in the github as CO_321.csv for archive
  • Add JIC variables at the end of the master version
  • pull request

Wheat TD file format issue

Hi @marieALaporte,
Could you please provide me the latest version of the wheat TD in Excel format? I downloaded the wheat_TD.csv from here (github) which is available under the "Code" tab but when I tried to open it, the file was screwed up. We can use "semi-colon" as a delimiter in Excel, and it looks better but since "comma" has been used in many columns to separate authors, or in descriptions or in Reference columns, the changing into .csv file causing this issue I guess. So, when we use this option, is does not work properly and cannot see information correctly in designated columns/headers. I could not find an easy way to formatting it. The TD that we can download from the CO website has also same problem. It would be easier for the curators if they can just download Excel.
Many thanks
