cs162-tutorials's Issues

Talking about implicits and generalized type constraints

The tutorial doesn't talk about implicits or generalized type constraints. Implicits are used widely in the query DSL, the generalized type constraints are used only in 2 places. Is it better to talk about either in the tutorial or later on (if regex doesn't use either)?

Mention `consoleQuick`

As we talked in the lab before, it'd be useful for the students to know how to access the Scala console through SBT to try some things in the REPL, even when their project doesn't compile.

The tutorials use the wrong scala version

When I ran the tutorials on CSIL (specifically csil-00), the Scala project created by sbt new pllab/scala.g8 uses the wrong Scala version (2.11.5) rather than 2.12.x as we discussed before. Also, it is using a way older version of ScalaTest compared to regex and zelda. These versions do not come from my peripheral configuration in CSIL but from the build.sbt file created by sbt new. I don't know how the sbt g8 stuff works so I created this issue.
