The rendered HTML always shows 'this is meta description' . This should be updated to either a PnP meta description to fall back to, and use the twitter:description
that is currently used.

Rendering the article: https://pnp.github.io/blog/post/new-community-blog-platform/ provides me with two header images. I love the parker logo but the size is a bit to much as I know have to scroll roughly three times before the content appears. My suggestion would be to either have a max height on the header image or figure out another way to prevent this type of behavior.
Will give it a few thoughts to see if I can come up with a solution.
The template currently does not render the header image when posting a link to twitter. We should update our template to provide the required OpenGraph or Twitter info to render images propperly.
We can use https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator to validate our current template.
Right now there is no way to get from https://pnp.github.io/blog to https://pnp.github.io, our main landing page.

Our current implementation generates a Small, Medium and Large image size for each image in our blog. We should drop one of these sizes to improve the total blog size (1.7gb current release).
Hi,
I wanted to contribute a new article post with a PR to this repo but I noticed that in the https://github.com/pnp/blog/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md
point 8 we have:
but checking the repo contents I noticed we rather store Images in the same location where we keep the blog post.
For example
Not sure if I understood this properly but seems just not inconsistent ๐ค.
Would you mind if I open a small PR and correct this guidance? or maybe you want to do it yourself with a quick commit ๐? Or maybe it is ok, and I just don't understand it properly ๐ (in that case sorry for the stupid question ๐)
Have you ever opened and checked each file or page in the Document Library or Site Pages one by one to find the desired file or page?
https://pnp.github.io/blog/post/list-formatting-view-the-contents-of-a-file-with-file-preview-card/
Implement the header or preview image in the RSS output so RSS readers like Feedly will render an image as part of the blog.
Implementation is described on: https://www.cloudappie.nl/hugo-performance-improvements/
We should also update to only render the top 10 or 15 last items.

PnP Script samples birthday blog On this day, last year was the first release of the PnP Script Samples site.
https://pnp.github.io/blog/post/happy-first-birthday-script-samples/
Hi ๐ I think last time I did something wrong ๐ and in my last post https://pnp.github.io/blog/post/save-data-to-app-personal-folder/ the image src attrs are broken
I've done it this way
{{< image alt="requestToAppRoot.png" src="images/requestToAppRoot.png" >}}
Could you point me in the right direction ๐ค?
BTW I have one bonus question ๐.
is this repo somehow connected also with the techcommunity blog? I see that some articles that are present here
https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-pnp-blog/bg-p/Microsoft365PnPBlog
are also present https://pnp.github.io/blog but not the other way around ๐ค? If I would like to have the same article in both places I should add it separately ?

Right now, pnp.github.io/blog has no preview image for twitter. I think Parker would be a good idea.

Hello World Let us introduce our new Microsoft 365 platform community blog to you!

Right now, you can only filter by category OR by tag - but tags won't refine the results of a category. Ideally, users can first select a category and then only see tags that are applied to posts in that category. By selecting one or more tags, the matching subset of blog post shall be returned.
Currently our link checking action fails with some errors (see for instance: https://github.com/pnp/blog/actions/runs/2320281477)
It feels like we can do some optimization to minimize the amount of errors:
--max-concurrency <max-concurrency>
setting to less then 128 so we do not get errors on YouTube (looks like they block after an no amount of requestsAfter that is done there should be around 50'ish issues left that we then can manually check. Once all issues are solved we could op to fail the build if a new faulty link is introduced. Or scan our repository on a daily base and auto create new issues for breaking links.

Currently the release pipeline allows for concurrent builds. When two users commit changes within roughly 8 minutes (the current time a build takes) of each other the second commit fails because the build is already running. This makes for a less optimal experience when submitting or reviewing a new PR.
We should optimize our pipeline to prevent concurrent builds and make sure a new build is not started before a previous one is started.
In case the sizing of images is not good enough we should fall back to a random image in the asset
folder. Currently we use the default header image but that does not render in the twitter card. Can be updated in head.html
Also make sure the homepage has a twitter image set

We currently have a folder called /resources/_gen
as part of our repository. This folder is generated by Hugo and should not be part of the main branch. Remove this folder would save us around 5k files and 300'ish of images.
I've been following the previous blog using RSS feeds, available on the homepage at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-pnp-blog/bg-p/Microsoft365PnPBlog
Are RSS feeds supported by the new blog platform ? I understand that there are social media and github notifications, still checking if I missed the link somewhere.
