polars-web's Issues

RSS

Hi, I'm unsure where the best place is to bring this up, but I would love to subscribe to your blog via RSS. Is that something that could be done?

Nav isn't keyboard accessible

You cannot focus the "API" in the navigation with Tab / Shift+Tab and even if you could the menu only shows on mouse hover :/

Add meta-cards

If you want the blogposts to do well on social media, it would help to have meta cards attached. The easiest way to check is by visiting https://metatags.io/. You can compare how https://calmcode.io would render vs. a blogpost and you should see a difference.

Link to book is broken: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

When navigating to the website and clicking "User Guide" at the top, one gets a browser error:

This site can’t provide a secure connection
pola-rs.github.io sent an invalid response.
ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

See screenshot:

Same is true for link to API books:

Something up with the link target or SSL certificates.

Nav isn't mobile friendly

It's functional but it could probably be better. I know this is meant to be super simple, but maybe there's a simple way to implement mobile-friendly responsiveness here.

I haven't done stuff like this in ages. Could be a good first-time issue label. Otherwise I'll try to look into it at some point.

Landing page for posts

Disclaimer a lot of what I'm writing here is opinion, not fact. The goal is to start a discussion, not to suggest that I know better.

That said, I wonder if the landing page for all the posts could be slightly improved. Right now we're using Github handles as names, for SEO purposes it may be better to use the actual name. There's also a date missing for each post and there's something to be said to also list an image.

I'm listing the polars posts landing below and my blog for easy comparison.
