texture's Issues

Ambiguity of terms

There is ambiguity in the terms used within the project:

Texture refers to both the site/project as a whole, as well as a unique combination of audio loops/colours/volumes. Perhaps mix would be a better term for the latter of these. Referring to the former as Add Texture could also help to differentiate between these.

Additionally, the terminology of the audio loops/sounds could be clearer. Should these be referred to as loops? Or specifically audio loops? Or even alternatively sounds? Or in a more traditional audio context, tracks (this could be good as it seems to be more general and could encompass the colours as well)?

Randomly generated background colours of sounds are sometimes too close

Sometimes the randomly generated background colours for each sound are very close visually. At best it looks off, at worst it's kinda confusing.

Solution should ideally make sure no colours are too similar (within a given hue range of each other) AND also make sure no two adjacent colours are too similar (within a larger hue range).

Left and right sections of footer collide on mobile

The current CSS solution of float: right; on the cookie information results in the two sections of the footer colliding on smaller (mobile) devices, as per screenshot:

Ideally should display as single-column on mobile. Perhaps structure entire footer using Boostrap's grid.

Automatically calculate number of unique combinations

Currently the number of unique combinations displayed in src/BodyText.jsx is manually calculated using this tool and then updated. This could relatively easily be calculated programmatically.

<p>There are <strong>over 3 trillion</strong> unique combinations of audio loops in Texture; this means you probably have a combination that has never been heard by anyone before and probably will never be heard again โ€” unless of course you share it.</p>
