Description

Basically, SafeSurf uses Apache Guacamole (VNC client in browser) as frontend and Docker+XVNC+Chromium as backend. It opens the URL in Chromium in docker container and let you browse the target site by VNC.

Installation

git clone https://github.com/Priezt/safesurf.git
cd safesurf
docker-compose up -d

Usage

By default, SafeSurf listens on 10888/HTTP. You can change this in ".env" file. Open http://[your-server-ip]:10888/[target-url] in browser.

Can't visit any site

Whenever I try to connect to a site I get the error

When Chromium tried to connect to chrome.google.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be chrome.google.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Chromium stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit chrome.google.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

I'm not sure yet what is causing this problem, maybe the VPN I'm on right now, gonna try this on another computer/network and try to fix it

Old pip version

on the web/Dockerfile pip needs to be updated
