profanity-im.github.io's Issues

CNAME?

It is possible in GitHub to add;

  • The CNAME file to profanity.im?
  • Settings in DNS Zone of the domain name?
  • Enable https too?
  • Verify the domain name?

Thanks in advance.

Use statis site generator instead of plain HTML

It would be nice if we could extract the style current style of our website in some theme for some static site generator (hugo, jekyll, etc).
And extract the content in markdown files.

Since it's often cumbersome to edit the HTML files by hand.

Any web expert who could take this?

shasums truncated on small viewports

Steps to reproduce

  • Reduce the viewport to something between 1592 and 838 px.
    (Easily doable in Firefox with the Responsive Design Mode, Ctrl+Shift+M. Chromium has similar features)

What happens

Shasums get truncated.

Screenshot_2019-08-09 Profanity, a console based XMPP client - Home

Expected behaviour

Shasums are not truncated.

Maybe this can be done letting the browser wrap them, with something like overflow-wrap: break-word in CSS.

theme gallery

Would be nice to have a gallery where users could preview all themes.

User Guide: `User` is not clickable

To replicate:

  • check a page from the Quick star guide (e.g. this one)
  • decide you want to go back to the User Guide main page
  • click on "User Guide" (black font on red background)
  • the "User" part of "User Guide" is not clickable

Expected:

  • "User Guide" is clickable in its entirety

Reformat HTML in Reference

Iโ€™m too lazy to

a: do this
b: work out how to automate it

As in the test file for the refernce could it be formatted as so:

<header>
 ...
</header>
<article id="manual">
        <section>
                <h3>title</h3>
                <foo> content </foo>
                <bar> content </bar>
        </section>
        <section>
                <h3>title</h3>
                <foo> content </foo>
                <bar> content </bar>
        </section>
</article>

Update command reference - tls legacy

Profanity was updated with /connect ... tls legacy and /account ... set tls legacy. Add this info to the command reference.

Just a thought: toc_fragment.html and main_fragment.html should be generated automatically from the Profanity inner help.
