I tried to use this widget with the latest Feren OS, but experienced this issue as can be seen in the screenshot below.

Additionally, I think this very attractive widget would be much better if transparency level could be adjusted or at least another small tweak like changing the color of all items in the panel in contrast to the background or adding a little shadow maybe?

It would be cool if we had the option to set the level of transparency. If not then please can you tell me what values do I need to change in the xml file so I can change it for my local copy. Thanks.

I mean when the window is minimized the transparency be enable like this picture

and when the window is maximized the transparency be enable like this picture

It can't work on Plasma 6, what can I do?

Recently I had a crash of my Manjaro KDE and since then my panel is not transparent anymore, but it's black. I tried to re-install the widget, but it didn't help. The panel color is still solid black. I also tried to create a new panel, then I added this widget but it didn't help either. The new panel is also black, when put into transparency mode.

Is there anything else I could do to try to get back the transparency?

After discovering that the background transparency of the terminal emulator also failed,
Found the ultimate cause in OpenGL,
kde plasma's own transparent special effects can no longer work properly, causing the above-mentioned failure,

This widget is very useful, since the native Plasma way of setting transparency through metadata.desktop file sets it to the entire Plasma Theme and not just to the Panel like your widget.

I have 2 questions:

1- If this widget breaks with say Plasma 5.27 or Plasma 6, is it planned to have someone maintain it then? This is not in 10 years but rather for the next year or 2.

2- As a wishlist, I would like to add the feature to disable activation of the widget (disable translucency) when a Window is touching a Panel (or when the window is maximized, which is the same thing from a user point of view). Latte-Dock has that feature and Plasma Panel also has it, but this widget never disables translucency, so when a window is maximized it kinda looks weird and loses consistency.
