cordova-web-wrap's Issues

Migrating UIWebView to WKWebView

Hi there,

First off, thanks for creating this, it works perfectly and does exactly what I need it to do, much appreciate the hard work :).

However, I noticed Apple is now considering UIWebView to be deprecated, so it won't allow me to upload to the App Store, not even to test via TestFlight. Apparently they require WKWebView now.

I noticed Cordova 5.1 has WKWebView support now, however there are still calls to UIWebView in the code that prevent it from functioning correctly with Cordova 5.1.

I was wondering if you might have a build that replaces UIWebView with WKWebView and Cordova 5.1?

Thanks so much again, have a great day!

Evaluate Google Mobile Vision / ML Kit for barcode scanning

Google's ML Kit's barcode scanner looks like a better barcode scanner than the current standard one. While some ML Kit features run in the cloud, barcode scanning happens on-device. Is is available for Android and iOS, and codrova-gmv-barcode-scanner (alternative) provides Cordova integration. Let's see how this compares.

Suggestion: let the javascript code handle both libraries, then the application developer can add and remove the plugin he wants to use, and it just works.

Tests:

  • Independent of orientation
  • Curved surfaces
  • Wrinkled foil
  • with length 8, 11, 12, 13, 14
  • Low-light conditions

Catch navigation before it happens

Several workarounds were needed to cancel navigating to a link that is supposed to load in the system web browser. Something like the CB-14188 PR would allow inspecting the URL and cancel loading the external page before it happens. This would allow removing quite some code, be less error-prone, and provide a better experience.

Finish the PR and integrate it. Work has already started on branch feature/beforeload.

Hi ... I need help for back to app from external url with querystring. Please help. Thnks

Resuming app occasionally sticks at the event-loading stage

First of all, thanks for the great repo here - saved me a WHOLE lot of time! I've published my web app to both the App and Play stores, and it's working well, except for one problem:

Occasionally, perhaps 20% of the time on iOS, when resuming the app (clicking its icon after it was previously opened) it shows the index.html file with the event-loading div active, and never actually opens the LANDING_URL. It's very hard to reproduce the problem, so I haven't been able to catch any console errors yet.

Force-quitting the app and re-opening it is always successful, but asking users to do that isn't a great solution.

First of all, what causes the open app to go back to the index.html page - is it a function of time the app has been backgrounded? If I background the app and go back, within, say 5 minutes, it never fails to land me on the same view I left it in.

I don't mind it going back to the index.html page after an extended time away, but the stuck loading phase is driving me fairly crazy. Any tips to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Translation

Hey,
is it possible to translate the texts? Translating itself is not the problem, when it is possible. Just need a example.

Best regards
