Yes, that is caused by commit 8db3100. Quickget never sets the QEMU_IMG variable, only quickemu does. There must have been an oversight there.

It is fixed in an in-progress feature branch.
I the meantime you can work around with
export QEMU_IMG=$(command -v qemu-img)
quickget macos venturafrom quickemu.
