Just reinstalled and had FF13 with omnibar working ok , now got FF 14 and it appears to install but does not work , any help please . Extensions say it is there and enabled .

It seems that your entry in the right-click context menu of buttons on the toolbars at times makes the context menu stutter a little bit when opened. I disabled OSB and no more stuttering. It happens fast so you have to click on a few buttons until you might see it. I disabled the entry by using css display:none but even though the entry is gone the menu still acts the same

I also have a LastPass Toolbar entry in the same menu and that works fine without the OSB entry.

I'm on Nightly and Windows 8.1 x64

Go to http://www.unrealengine.com/html5/ and run the demo in full screen mode by clicking on the full screen icon. From that point on the sidebar will not auto open on any page if you have it set to . I think playing videos in full screen will also do this. I have to do a Ctrl-B to get the sidebar back.

The sidebar disappears the moment I click on a bookmark. On another PC of mine it used to say open until the mouse was withdrawn.

When I use the Customization menu to add an icon it disappears when I restart Fx. In order for the icons to stay put I have to disable OSB, restart Fx, then place the icons where I want them to be. I then restart FX again and finally enable OSB.

I have a suggestion for that:
Show buttons from the Sidebar Toolbar when hovering over the sidebar button.

Can it be done?

Twinsidebar does not appear automatically when it is placed on the right side of the browser window.
This problem can be settled by modifying a file "resource/modules/autohide.jsm".

Using Omnisidebar 1.4.1 with Ubuntu 14.10 and FF28.0 the sidebar opens correctly when the Open/Close Icon is pressed. Sidebar automatically closes when focus is lost. However, the Icon remains in the "Close Sidebar" state necessitating one click to change state, to "Open Sidebar", and a further click to open the sidebar.

When the sidebar automatically closes the icon should revert to the "Open Sidebar" state.

This is similar to the request I made for The Puzzle Piece. Another hidden pref? These are my options:

STR:

1. Move downloads and bookmarks buttons to sidebar toolbar.
2. Undock sidebar and disable auto-hide.
3. Enter and exit customize.

The sidebar then appears "collapsed" like this.

If using a floating sidebar, when hovering a bookmark the url is partially hidden.
This doesn't happen if the sidebar is not floating, because the url appears next to the sidebar, not below.

I have pref.omnisidebar.noInitialShow set to true. Also, my sidebar is undocked. When I change my sidebar using the dropdown menu by clicking on the title, say from bookmarks to history, the sidebar will retract. Setting extensions.omnisidebar.noInitialShow to false doesn't do this.

Anyway you can fix this?

In the sidebar title dropdown it shows the acceltext Ctrl+Shift+F for the Feeds sidebar, but this appears to be obsolete since it uses Ctrl+Shift+Y as shown in Firefox's Show Sidebars widget:

Also if the option to always open the Add-ons Manager in the sidebar is enabled, then the Ctrl+Shift+A shortcut becomes viable for toggling the Add-ons Sidebar, and could be shown as acceltext perhaps (unless it's not worthy to implement).

When I open a new browser window or change into Private Mode, the keyboard focus is set into the sidebar's Search field. This behavior shouldn't change compared to the browser's default behavior, or at least there should be an option to retain the browser's default behavior.

I can place my LastPass icon in the OS toolbar but when I exit Fx25 and start it again the icon moves to the right of the search bar.

Can you come up with a fix for this?

Please add the ability to open the sidebar when you touch over the sidebar margin with the mouse (without cliking) like in AiOS.

Ive been using Omnisidebar since I discovered Firefox ages ago but after a recent update (Firefox 14) I noticed that the toolbar button that toggles the sidebar causes the toolbar to shrink, all of the buttons become compressed and the tabbar (and over half the tabs favivon) is cut off so that only the top of the tab is showing. Ive disabled the addon and everything goes back to normal, when I reenabled it everything was fine as well until I put the button back on the toolbar. I hope this will be fixed soon, this is one addon that is essential to me:)

When I open up the sidebar there is nothing but the words Blank Page. Whats strange is that it was working perfectly up till a few minutes ago. I have only had it installed for about a day. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you..

I would like to suggest the ability to type any web page into the sidebar's location field. E.g.: Click blue arrow --> type "www.images.google.com" --> Google Image Search opens in sidebar. I would like to be able to view the web page in full size (with scrollbars), scaled down, text only, or realigned like a mobile web page. This would be similar to functionality in AiOS. I would also like to be able to zoom in/out.

I change the hotkey to be F4 only for the main panel and I have nothing using it before.
After I change it it works fine but once I restart the browser the key no longer works.

Would be nice to have it open in sidebar while tinkering with css or js.

Doesn't appear on Firefox (Portable) 5 fresh install, XP SP2. Maybe I'm missing something; is it supposed to show up by default? By 'SideToolbar' I'm assuming this is the set of icons at the top OmniSidebar shown in your screenshots. I do have the title dropdown however...

It bugs in FF 29.
When activated, the new personalization page list is empty when you edit.

I use the NASA night launch theme and sometimes the bookmarks won't open from the sidebar on left click (they do open on right click -> Open). I have to restart the browser to make it work.

If I enable the Pano button in the UI, clicking the button shows the Pano pane in OmniSideBar as expected. However, after doing this autohide/autoshow stops working.

Every now and then I lose the title of my sidebar. I've seen it happen with Bookmarks. Not sure if it happens to other titles as I use them very little. Also there are times when the Bookmark sidebar will say History.

This was happening before I started using Australis.

Please refer Issue #20 I had raised earlier. The solution worked that time but not this while. I am on FF 23 and the latest TabMix Plus Version (731a) and use Nasa Night Launch theme.

I was having trouble cycling the open / closed state of the sidebar using the hot key. When I closed the sidebar, the hot key wouldn't open it again until I clicked somewhere in the page. I found that an element must have focus for the hot key to work, and using the hot key to close the sidebar failed to return focus to the element that had it before.

It doesn't always exhibit this behavior, but I can trigger it by clicking a bookmark in the sidebar. Once I do, cycling the open/closed state with the hot key doesn't work properly. I can resolve the behavior by disabling / enabling the extension or restarting Firefox.

With OmniSidebar disabled, standard hot keys (Ctrl+B, Ctrl+H) don't seem to have this problem. So I'm assuming the problem is related to OmniSidebar.

Hi, thanks for this very useful add-on. Can you please add another switch-type toolbar button, and possibly another keyboard shortcut, which would allow showing the sidebar overriding the auto-hide, but still leaving it in undocked state? I like the sidebar hover ('undocked') effect very much because it eliminates the jerking of content pages when the sidebar is shown, but bringing it out of auto-hide by moving the mouse to the edge of the screen feels to me like a bad bargain, frankly, so I'd like to use a button and/or keyboard instead.

this is more of an feature wish than an issue reporting:

It would be nice to be able to set firefox to automatically hide any sidebar whenever entering the fullscreen mode. This could be a checkbox option.

I usually work with visible sidebar of bookmarks, but when entering the fullscreen mode (usually by pressing F11), only the toolbar and status bar hide, not the sidebar. I have to close the sidebar separately in an extra step to go really FULLscreen.

When using the current checkout with firefox 26.0 on linux x86_64, opening the configuration dialog from the addons manager causes an error "undefined entity" for chrome://omnisidebar/content/options.xul on lines 383 and 391. Thus, the configuration dialog can not be opened.

When allways open Page Info in sidebar is enabled, a context menu item to getting info about right clicked image doesn't go into the image item on Media tab, instead this it goes to General tab.

Please add the ability to place a toolbar vertically.

This may be a minor issue, but it has gotten rather annoying. Every time I open a new browser window, the bookmark panel of the side bar grabs keyboard focus in the book mark search instead of leaving it with my homepage. If I disable the extension, the problem goes away, but I would like to continue using this add-on.

FF29 with a new profile and only OmniSideBar installed.

Everything works as expected in the first window but when a second window is opened the sidebars can't be undocked and you can't change the contents of the sidebar (no drop down menu's are displayed when clicking on the sidebar's title and right clicking on the toolbar icon only displays a menu with two seperators and the "OmniSideBare Options" entry).

I have omnisidebar as "automatically hide to the side".

Then I press shortcut (for example F8), and I let sidebar go away

Now If I press F8 again, omnisidebar will not appear. It will need a second shortcut press up.

I've been using OmniSidebar for a while and I love the way it works. Yesterday, it just stopped working. It's very strange because it was working in the morning and then it stopped in the afternoon. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling OmniSidebar 1.0.2, rebooting, etc. I even tried installing 1.0.1 without luck. Thinking that there might be a conflict with other addons, I disabled all of them. I can get the Firefox default sidebar to show up by clicking View --> Sidebar --> Bookmarks, but it's not the OmniSidebar. I'm using Windows 8 x64 with Firefox 20.0.1. For what it's worth, I reinstalled All-In-One Sidebar and that works fine, but I prefer OmniSidebar. Please help!

I've been experiencing a problem : the toolbar button for 'OmniSidebar' disappears with Walnut2 installed. It is invisible until I mouse over the area where it is supposed to be. Then, when I see the darkened outline and click it, the icon appears again. Unfortunately, I have to do this every time I restart Firefox. There seems to be some interference with the Walnut2 theme because, without it installed, the toolbar button always appears automatically. I'm not sure if the problem is with Walnut2 or OmniSidebar, so I'm letting both of you know of the conflict. The problem did go away with OmniSidebar's last version (1.0.1), but reappeared again with the latest version (1.0.2).

When OmniSidebar is set from 'auto-hide to the side' to 'auto-close when it loses focus' all tabs are become unresponsive and clicking on them does nothing.

I've had reports that when OmniSidebar is enabled together with the Read it later extension the read it later icon on the address bar disappears but it works fine with me and I cannot reproduce this behavior.

If anyone can give me any more info on this please post it here.

Install Download Panel Tweaker and change its "Hotkey for downloads (Ctrl+J)" option to "Toggle sidebar". Then, Ctrl+J only works for opening the Downloads sidebar but not closing it - thus hindering the toggle feature of Download Panel Tweaker.

Key to show Downloads (Ctrl+J) can't hide the sidebar when Downloads is currently in sidebar. All other shortcuts can show and hide sidebar only Ctrl+J can't.

I have lot of bookmarks, so if possible to add the features like "Automatically Close Other Folders", "Close All Folders button...

My FF is v8.0 beta and WinXP SP3. Firstly I had installed the Prospector - LessChrome HD 7, it's can hide the location tool bar navigation automatically. and I set the tag tab stick top.
After installed OmniSidebar, restart FF, the problem happened. The FF window buttons MINIMIZE / RESTORE / CLOSE (top right corner) DISAPPEARED.
and disable either can fix it. so these 2 extension must conflict each other. I like both, how can fix it ?

Although it was nice when it did :) No, I am not that Mac OS fruitcake. XP, SP3. I think OSB went away when I upgraded FF from 14 to 19 (Won't go to 20 until Tab Utilities updates!) - it is supposed to be compatible through v.22, right?

Disabled/reenabled, even removed, redownloaded, reinstalled, retarted. The button does not even appear in the Customize table. The only sign that it exists at all on my machine is its listing in Addons.

One additional note - I use Vertical Toolbar, but it has never caused any problem before, and I really don't feel like messing around with it any more than I do FF20 as of yet.

Meanwhile I will try to find that other extension which I think I heard at least does away with that infernal docking!

I closed OmniSidebar as soon as I installed it, and it is forever gone no matter how hard I try. Now I absolutely don't know what it's about. It doesn't seem very useful to make something completely disappear like that.

I'm not sure if this is since the last OmniSidebar update or since the last Firefox update; I'm pretty sure it was working in Firefox 20. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit, and it could have been another add-on that updated, but if so, it had been working correctly with OmniSidebar previously; I haven't added any new add-ons in a while.

When I download a file I don't see it in Downloads sidebar. I see it in Library or Download panel from button. Look at screenshot:

I tested it with fresh profile.
