20-20-20's Introduction

20-20-20

A simple timer written in python which can help you keep your eyes healthy!

Many of us spend a good deal of our time staring at screens from laptops, computers, smartphones, gaming systems and television. This can put a lot of strain on our eyes and cause eye fatigue.

We as programmers are the direct victims of eye fatigue. This prompted me to make a simple script that notifies us to follow the 20-20-20 rule. Now you might be wondering what this 20-20-20 rule is! The rule states the following...

** Every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and focus your eyes on something at least 20 feet away.**

Here is a link to the article. https://opto.ca/health-library/the-20-20-20-rule

Use python, save your eyes!

20-20-20's Issues

Position and size of the notification on the desktop.

Originally the notification appears at the top right corner of the desktop. I felt that if it appeared at the centre of the screen, then it would catch more attention and would be able to inform us better.

Also, the size of the notification should also be increased.
