gophernotes's Issues

Let's implement some unit tests for modules found in `pkg`

Ideally, this should include:

• cli
• conf
• db
• app

Let's fix the broken pipeline so that it can build and test on all major systems.

Build targets:

• Linux
• MacOS
• Windows
• FreeBSD

Let's add a --version CLI handler!

gn --version should return:

gophernotes version 1.0.0

Let's package as an RPM!

Let's add support for configuration files

Let's add support for limiting and sorting search and fetch results based on provided arg

Ex, gn fetch --limit 20 --sort oldest

Let's add support for creating a note in a dedicated editor

In the case where --note argument isn't supplied, let's open the User's preferred editor so that they can edit in there.

This removes the workflow which I had just learned when attempting to create a note and rapidly append to the same note:

gn create --note "JIRA-NUMBER: Notes"
gn search --note "JIRA-NUMBER"
gn ediit --id 121

Let's add support for WIndows

From a quick analysis, this would include changes to the github.com/raygervais/gophernotes/pkg/conf package to support NT paths.

Let's add support for tags!

Design TBD, but I'm thinking the following functions:

gn create --note "Add support for Windows" --tag todo
gn fetch --tag todo
gn tag --list
