Info and how-to

This modded repo adds genres as custom categories, parsed from vrdb.app.

SideQuest App banners are also added.

Add the repo url in your config.json downloadRepos section as described in QuestAppLauncher Readme

Generator usage:

Windows only
Add args to run specific tasks
or run all tasks and do a release

QuestAssetGenerator.py -a ACCESS_TOKEN -da -dr -c -g

-a ACCESS_TOKEN | Peronal Github accesstoken for releasing
-g  | Add genres to appnames_quest.json
-da | Download Assets from Oculus Store
-ds | Download Assets from SideQuest Store
-dr | Download latest release from github for comparing
-c  | Compare latest release with new release
-r  | Create a Github release

If there is no ACCESS_TOKEN in arguments, the script tries to use a access_token file.

can't control menu on the GO

Hi,

i can't controle the menu at top with my oculus go.
Settings or 2d or all doesnt respond.

Custom Folder Creation

HI there,
I am wondering if there is a way to create the custom folders inside the app on a Quest 2 device?

It looks like from the Readme that the only way is to use the appnames.json file is that correct? It would be nice if we could make the changes inside the program like the other launcher on SideQuest called the PI Launcher.

Just want to make sure I'm not missing something. I thought it was supposed to show up with the Genres but none show up for me I tried changing their location and turning off the standard ones but no luck.

Any help you could provide would me much appreciated.
If you can't do from the app does one of the utilities in here create a custom appnames.json file that I could then go update instead of having to create from scratch?

SideQuest categories

The SideQuest API does not include the categorie.

I have to do a request manual for every categorie.

Polardread has the wrong app ID

It is listed as PolarDread-Android-Shipping-arm7.apk when it should be com.MVRKY.PolarDread

VR Practical Shooting wrong app id

Hello, thanks for keeping up to date versions of the app names and icons! I found that you have the game VR Practical Shooting listed as com.autogen.1637568944642, but the actual id is com.blobworks.VRPracticalShooting. Is there a way to contribute the correct app id to this repository?
