The server crashes when you hit http://localhost:8001/.well-known/webfinger without specifying a resource.

followed the instructions from http://remotestorage.io/doc/code/files/baseclient-js.html#RemoteStorage.BaseClient.getFile but doesn't seem to work.

to reproduce, open the binary-example app, upload an image, disconnect, and reconnect. it will fail to display the image that comes in. the blob does say it has the right size, but then the data URI that's constructed is something else like blob:http://localhost:8001/f1427196-0c2d-4ed4-82d6-d2383747d568 (at least in Chrome) and doesn't work.

the server shouldn't start up if the port is blocked otherwise it gets confusing.

OPTIONS request stays pending but turns red, not sure what's going on - investigating.

Just d/l the starter-kit and got it up and running, unfortunately it doesn't work, but changing line no 9 in starter-kit.js to "storagePort: 8001" seems to do the trick.

(Ofc this might not be the intended fix and might ruin other stuff, but at least this non-coder got it working)

getNote() should return immediately (not go to IndexedDB first), and the local event should be used to fire displayNote during the pageload

if you restart the dev-kit.js and click the 'Unauthorized - reconnect', link, there's an error about authUrl not found, and it doesn't reconnect.

As of Firefox 23 or so, this will fail with Mixed Active Content warning

If you type a name fast into the input, the onchange events don't always complete the name correctly. A few characters can end up missing from the end of the "Hello " area.

I was trying to browse the starter kit files with remotestorage-browser.5apps.com but it wasn't working. When I entered [email protected]:8001 into the widget it fails on webfinger lookup:

when you have the hello-world app open in two browsers, changes made in one browser don't arrive in the other one until you disconnect and reconnect the receiving browser.
