papr's Issues

No mounting solution for the default snap-in potentiometer

The potentiometer that comes with the driver board is a "snap-in" mount, intended to be soldered into a board. There is no easy way to mount the snap-in potentiometer in the case. The optional potentiometer is a board-mount with a nut and washer and is appropriate for mounting in the case.

As such, you might want to remove the "Optional" from the optional potentiometer and just make it the default?

Request: Waist Belt Mounting Option

LeAnn:
I was thinking a belt / fanny pack adaptation would be useful. The shoulder strap is definitely swingy when bending and uncomfortable for older people with shoulder or back problems. Another alternative is putting them into backpacks - one tester bikes with hers and she finds the backpack most comfortable by far

Martin:
when I go to a store and am bending down to pick stuff up, too much swinging action

Assembly instruction structure

Maybe a more granular TOC that links to subsections of assembly instructions? I find myself scrolling long distances a lot.

USB C PD trigger differs from the directions

The directions show a different PD trigger PCB than the one now listed on aliexpress in the BOM, do we disregard the procedure outlined in the build instructions or have they changed at all?

Failure modes of versions <10.0

Mostly seeing the bayonet filter adapters break.
Out of the parts we had assembled or in stock for assembly, 5 were found with broken filter ports.
Unit 1 broke from stress while in use, probably angular jolt to the filter without anything to prevent it from moving that way, like the newly introduced nub.
Units 13 and 15, as well as 2 more unlabeled units also had broken ports. Uncertain circumstances for how that happened.
Attached is a picture of one of the unlabeled units that was probably part of a dead-end development prototype.

These issues have likely been solved by introduction of "the nub". Just documenting this so that the fact is preserved and known in the future.
