Bite Sized EULA is a Chrome plugin that takes a long EULA and displays it to the user in "Bite Sized" chunks. For example, when you post to Facebook for the first time, you will be reminded of the part of EULA which relates to posting.

Release Notes Bite Sized EULA Version 1.0:

New Features:

  • Added functionality for additional settings page
  • Added notification pop-up backend functionality
  • Added disable and enable functionality
  • Added the functionality for the comment, and comment and remind me again options on notification pop up window

Bug Fixes:

  • Notification Window pop-ups with the correct content

Known Bugs:

  • In order for the plugin to be enabled when first loading the application, the page must be refreshed after clicking play to enable the plugin. Note that this only happens the first time a user accesses Instagram after changing the status of the plugin

Install Guide:

Download: Download the entire repository from the team github repository using the “clone or download → download ZIP” button, or clone the repository using ordinary git practices.

Build Instructions: Chrome plugins do not require any building.

Pre-requisites: The customer must have a Google Chrome Web Browser and a Google Account before they can install the Bite-Sized EULA Chrome Extension through the “Extensions” section of the Chrome Web Store. A Google Chrome Browser can be installed only in the following operating systems: Linux - 60.0.3112.78, iOS - 60.0.3112.72, macOS - 60.0.3112.78, Android - 59.0.3071.125, and Windows - 60.0.3112.78.

Dependencies: Download jQuery 3.3.1 library (see jquery.com/download/)

Installation: In chrome, enter chrome://extensions where you would ordinarily enter a web address. This will take you to the chrome extension management page. Click “Load Unpacked” to load this unpacked (in progress) chrome extension. In the resulting file selection popup, navigate to the folder in which you unpacked the repository. Select this folder. The extension will load.

Run Instructions: Once the plugin is installed it will start itself by default. The plugin is paused by default, so to make it operate you must click on the plugin’s icon (near the top right of chrome) and press the play button.

Troubleshooting: To get this extension running in incognito mode, go to chrome://extensions in normal browser mode and find Bite-Sized EULA. Then, click “Details” and enable “Allow in incognito”.

Disable and enable plugin

The plugin should be disabled when the pause button is clicked and enabled when the play button is clicked.
