Project Structure

The Etheremon project is structured as follows:

  • packages/client: contains the client-side code for the game, including the React UI.
  • packages/contracts: contains the smart contract code for the game, written in Solidity.
  • packages/server: contains the server-side code for the game.

Getting Started

To get started with Etheremon, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the Etheremon repository to your local machine.
  2. Navigate to the root directory of the project and run yarn install to install all dependencies.
  3. Use the yarn dev command in the root directory of the project to start the game.
  4. Initialize the auto-generated files by running yarn initialize in the root directory.
  5. Initialize the PRIVATE_KEY environment variable with the default Anvil private key by running echo "PRIVATE_KEY=0xac0974bec39a17e36ba4a6b4d238ff944bacb478cbed5efcae784d7bf4f2ff80" > packages/contracts/.env.
  6. Use the yarn dev command in the root directory to start the game locally.

How to Play

To play Etheremon, follow these steps:

  1. Install MetaMask or another compatible Ethereum wallet.
  2. Navigate to the Etheremon website.
  3. Create a new account and select a character to play as.
  4. Use the arrow keys to navigate your character around the map.
  5. Encounter monsters as you explore the world, and use your character's abilities to defeat them.
  6. Use the game's AI opponent to battle against for an additional challenge.
