gamesrv's Issues

Can't start door game

I have setup GameSrv in a docker container (since the mono-gpmc can only be installed on Ubuntu 14.04 and I'm on 16.04), and everything seems to be running fine to start the server. When I login and try to open a door game (any of them), it looks like it tries to start it, but then goes right back to the menu.

Here are the logs:

13:43:17 Node 1: matt: DEBUG: DOSEMU launching DOORS/TW2002/START.BAT 1

I'm running this as root, so there shouldn't be any permissions issues. However, I don't see any directory created for /gamesrv/node1. If I try to create that directory, it still gives me the same issue.

I've been trying to trace through the code to figure out where my problem lies, but any thoughts you have on this would be appreciated, thanks!

Make this work in os/2

Hi Rick,

A number of people (myself included) have struggled against the forward march of Windows and 16 bit game compatibility. There exists a near-perfect solution in modern incarnations of OS/2 (namely, ArcaOS). ArcaOS runs on bare metal modern hardware and offers full DOS compatibility. So...it's close to being an ideal game server. However, something akin to GameSrv would be perfect.

Is there a way to get GameSrv to work in OS/2 for the purposes of making future proof doorgame servers?
