hrambi's Issues

Tabaris can add/edit a news item

As Tabaris, I want to be able to enter and edit news items manually, so that I can keep news content attractive to users.

Create an interface (probably from built-in CMS features) that allows an editor to easily and quickly edit news content. Tabaris shouldn't be able to easily accidentally change the formatting of the page or the structure of the data.

This may be higher priority if we don't have an automated news feed; lower priority if we do.

Non-registered contractor can read the latest news articles

As a non-registered contractor, I want to be able to read news articles related to green building so that I can stay informed on developments of interest to me.

Create section for contractors to read news articles without logging in. May want to use built-in blogging features. News articles will probably just be a title, link, and date.

We don't have examples of these news articles, but Tabaris has tested different keywords in Google News that seem to produce good results that you can pull examples from (e.g., https://www.google.com/search?q=green+building&tbm=nws
):

  • green building
  • energy efficiency
  • renewable energy
  • HVAC
  • electrical

Ideally this would be some sort of automated news feed based on these keywords... but if that's not easy & straightforward, assume manual entry for now (see #2).

See https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-ERKKr72JosM7mvIvafwInl0xYhflQun/view for one implementation.

Non-registered contractor can sign-up for membership

As a non-registered contractor, I want to be able to sign up for membership so that I can view content in the restricted area.

Create a sign-up flow for non-registered contractors. Should include

  • picking an e-mail and password
  • being able to pay for the subscription
  • picking a member/user name
  • probably collecting full name
  • probably collecting market
  • probably collecting interest areas for RFPs: e.g., HVAC, etc.

Minimum is just the first. Will almost certainly want to use pre-built components here.

Prime contractor can get a list of minority sub-contractors.

As a prime contractor, I want to be able to see a list of verified minority contractors so that I can find people to hire for my project and meet government requirements.

Need more details on this issue—we don't know what this will look like yet.

Tabaris can *easily* add/edit a news item

Spun off from #2 .

Registered contractor can browse RFPs

As a registered contractor, I want to be able to browse RFPs (i.e., see all RFPs), so that I see how many and what kinds of RFPs are in the platform, and find RFPs to apply to.

If easy, it might be nice to have some links that will show RFPs by market and/or type, either by filtering or by going to different page.

This story will also require a member being able to log in if not already logged in. See mock-ups for one implementation example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-ERKKr72JosM7mvIvafwInl0xYhflQun/view

Registered contractor can log in again after forgetting password

As a registered contractor, I want to be able to log in even though I've forgotten my password.

Make sure that members have some sort of forgot password mechanism—likely a password reset link in e-mail. This will probably be built into whatever the platform gives us. Just make sure it's turned on, works, and doesn't suck too much.

Tabaris can add an RFP to the database.

As Tabaris, I want to be able to easily add an RFP to the database so that I can keep the RFP list current for members.

Admin/editor needs to be able to easily add an RFP. Naturally, RFP table schema will need to be defined before this. Possible RFP fields:

  • title
  • URL
  • location
  • type of contract (multiple tags?)
  • expiration date
