I'm trying to use unicode-fonts, but running into an issue where my installation of "Apple Color Emoji" is not found and as a result unicode-fonts will not honor my blocks preferences. I have regenerated the font-utils-exists-p-mem manually, and though I don't really understand hash tables, I see an entry in the value something like this:

("Apple Color Emoji" nil nil nil) (full hash table value is attached below)

However, on line 487 of font-utils.el, (gethash args font-utils-exists-p-mem) returns nil when I run (font-utils-exists-p "Apple Color Emoji"). This seems like an error, but in my ignorance I'm not sure. Manually setting fontset blocks to use the apple font works, e.g.,

(set-fontset-font t '(#x2700 . #x27BF) "Apple Color Emoji")

so I don't think the issue is that emacs can't see the font.

It may or may not be relevant that I'm using emacs git (28.0.91) with pgtk and native-comp enabled.
